FZO affiliates receive tailored advice and support. Our staff in Ghent and Brussels answers your 
questions about subsidies, regulation on associations and non-profit organisations 
(better known as “VZWs”), statutes and the like. Moreover, the federation organises 
trainings on how to insure volunteers (obligatory for several activities), 
book-keeping for vzw's, etc. We may equally facilitate your search for 
suitable locations and assist with the promotion of your activities.
We don't interfere in the proceedings of member organisations. Neither do we meddle with 
the objectives and activities of our affiliates as this would go against our fundamental values. 
We only require affiliates to subscribe to our basic values, and to submit a brief annual overview 
of activities.FZO membership is free (NB membership is restricted to organisations). 
FZO members are invited regularly (at least once a year) to have a say in the activities
